Complex Color

I was thinking about something today. I find it to be a very complex situation that would probably never happen, but it is possible. When talking about colors. We know these as GREEN RED BLUE ORANGE, correct? But what if someone saw GREEN as GREEN. Like the blue that we know, they would call green. I suppose when learning about language and what words mean what, we really have to trust who is teaching them to us. From a young age it is very easy to manipulate what a child learns. Humm. A little odd to think about.

Another thought. Trying to describe color to a blind person. Try it, really, it's damn near impossible without referring to another object. Cause keep in mind. They cannot see.

Tough stuff.

    1. I think about that too. I have a friend who is colorblind and I tried to get him to explain it to me. But I think it is just one of those things you have to see for yourself.

  2. Smart thinking, trying to teach a blind person colors is difficult.

    1. It's really the same thing with language. If you don't have a first language to compare things to. Then it's going to be super difficult for you to understand the words.

  3. One thing I've always wondered is if we actually perceive colors differently. What if my red is actually your blue and viceversa? There'd be no way for any of us to find out.

    1. True. It's pretty crazy to think about how some things in life are a little too complex for us to comprehend
